Current work
My practice explores the digital art medium, and the work has drawn upon my autobiography, family history, and cultural icons from my past to explore visual memory and re-positioning of the past.


Biography
I was born in Fitzrovia, London, and lived on Haverstock Hill, Hampstead where my parents owned a newsagents. Hampstead was artsy and bohemian in the 1970s. This formed my creativity for art and music. I attended Haverstock School, Chalk Farm. In the1970s, the school was progressive and had exceptional strength in the creative arts. My love of music led me to be a drummer in the band High Heat, in the North London pub rock scene (Tally Ho Kentish Town) for 10 years. Review in Melody Maker.I used my earnings to pay for life drawing and painting classes at the Camden Arts Centre and was taught by the esteemed painter Sargy Mann, his classes shaped my artistic path. He was the only tutor I ever had that sat down and painted with us. This was a pivotal moment for me and inspired me to leave the band to study art.

I went on to study at Chelsea School of Art, Kingston Polytechnic BA (Hons), Kingston University MA.
This creative arts background steered me towards building my lifelong art career of creative practice in painting, sculpture, digital art and moving images.
